Registered Nurse - Operating Room

East Side Surgery Center is looking for a Operating Room Nurse to join our team. This person is responsible for meeting the nursing care needs of the patients in the operating room to which he/she is assigned.

Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional patient care – The registered nurse is fully responsible for all actions as a licensed nurse and is accountable for quality of care delivered to his/her patient, and maintains nursing standards while supporting patients with all applicable medical needs.

Maintains a safe environment and promotes patient safety.

Self-motivated; able to accept quick, repetitive, surgical procedures and find satisfaction in the job.

Maintains a positive attitude and is able to be a team player, working smoothly with other members of the surgical team.

Requirements:

Completed RN training program and have PA Licensure

BLS, ACLS and PALS training

A minimum of three years current OR experience

Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time

Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently

Must be able to recognize and institute treatment for the following OR emergencies: Cardiac arrhythmias; Cardiac Arrest; and Airway obstruction, Malignant Hyperthermia.

Must be willing to work overtime and/or be flexible with hours of work as staffing needs change.
